A first-time experimental workshop collaboration between Leeann Huang and Vibram Connect.

About the Workshop

​

Join Leeann Huang and Vibram Connect for a hands-on footwear-making workshop exploring upcycling, textile experimentation, and lenticular materials.

During this workshop, you will create your own clog from scratch using a pre-made shoe pattern developed by Leeann Huang and Vibram LA. You will customize the upper portion of the clog using Leeann’s specialized lenticular textile materials and explore upcycling techniques including weaving, patchwork, and embroidery.

Vibram will guide participants through their professional soling process and demonstrate how your handmade upper is transformed into a finished shoe using their Los Angeles Lab.

What You Will Make

​

All participants will create the same clog silhouette and shape.
Customization will be focused on the upper portion only.  No changes to the base pattern, shape, or the overall construction.

After the workshop, Vibram will complete the sole attachment and finishing in their Los Angeles Lab and ship your finished pair to you once complete.

Estimated completion time: Shoes will be available after 2–3 months after the workshop.

 

What to Bring / Wear

Please wear:

• Comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty

• Closed-toe shoes

This is a hands-on workshop involving textile manipulation and shoe construction, so please dress appropriately for making.

Invitations are non-transferable and attendance is reserved only for confirmed guests.
